Ferrosilicon Briquette

Ferro silicon briquette is a new type of briquette that is researched and produced. lt is also called ferro silicon briquettes FeSi Ball. Ferro silicon is one of the most common used ferroalloy in steel making and casting industries . Silicon is used to remove oxygen from steel and as alloying element to improve the final quality of the steel and iron, with the effect of signally increasing temperature of liquid steel. Besides steel-making and cast iron, it is also used as abase-alloy of other ferroalloys production.

In the steel making field, Ferro silicon breguet is used as deoxidizer and alloying agent to precipitate and disseminate impurities. increase certain amount of silicon of steel, obviously improve the strength ,hardness ,elasticity and permeability of steel; in ductile iron casting, it is used as inoculating agent and alloying agent especially in the nodular iron casting, FeSi briquette to cast iron, can prevent the formation of carbide and promote the precipitation of graphite and the nodulizing, then the mechanical capacity can be the same of steels.
